Adding Work History
Your living resume is here! Add your clinical work history to the Work History section of your Kamana Profile. If you have non-clinical work history, you can choose to add a Gap in Employment History or you can upload a summary of your non-clinical experience to the Additional Documents section of your profile.
Adding a Work History Entry
- Navigate to the Work History section of your Kamana profile
- Select the +Add button
- Enter Facility Name
- Facilities may populate, if your facility appears, select it from the drop-down list, if it does not, you are able to type in the name of the facility in the text box.
- Select Specialty
- Ex. Med/Surg, ICU, ER, Imaging, Laboratory, ect.
- If you were part of a Float Pool, select Float Pool from the drop-down list.
- If you do not see your specialty, select“Don’t see your specialty or department?” and you can submit a request to Kamana Support for review. We will follow up with you on your request as soon as possible!
- Enter City and State
- Select Profession
- Ex. Registered Nurse, Certified Nursing Assistant, CT Technologist, ect.
- Enter Start and End Date(month and year) of employment
- Start and End Date can not be the same
- If still employed, select the option“I currently work here”
- Select if employed directly by the facility or by a staffing agency
- If employed by a staffing agency, select the agency name from the drop-down list
- If you do not see your agency listed, select“Don’t see your staffing agency?” and you can submit a request to Kamana Support for review. We will follow up with you on your request as soon as possible!
- Select Employment Type from the drop down list
- Full Time, Part-Time, Travel Contract, or Per Diem)
To add additional information, select
Optional Info(all of the following information is optional)
- If you have charge nurse experience, select Charge Nurse Experience
- Provide Unit Bed Count
- Select NICU Level(if applicable)
- Select Trauma Level(if applicable)
- Select if the facility is a Teaching Hospital
- Select if the facility is a Critical Access Hospital
- Provide Patient Ratio
- Select EHR used at the facility
- Add Additional Notes/Comments
- In this field, provide additional details of your employment such as units floated to or primary responsibilities)
- Save Changes
If there are periods of time in which you were not clinically employed, took an extended leave, went on a mission trip, ect, you can add a
Gap in Employment to your work history section to detail this information.
